PLYMOUTH, MI – A Plymouth dental office recently attended two local events to bring awareness about good oral health and network with community members.

Dr. Gary Feucht and his staff met with the community during the annual Showcase and Taste of Plymouth business showcase event. The April 11 event included food tastings, exhibitors and community service awards and was hosted by the Plymouth Community Chamber of Commerce. Showcase and Taste of Plymouth has been a community fixture for the past 27 years.

“This event is a great opportunity for us to get to know our fellow business owners and to visit with patients outside of the office,” said Dr. Feucht, who operates Plymouth Dentistry. “Our dental team takes pride in getting out in the community and helping people beyond providing quality dental care.”

One of Plymouth Dentistry’s biggest helpers in spreading the importance of great dental care is practice mascot Mr. Chuckles. This person-sized tooth visits local community organizations and elementary schools to teach children about good oral health practices and the dangers of cavities.

Staff members of Plymouth Dentistry and Mr. Chuckles recently visited a local preschool to help the youngsters understand the importance of brushing and flossing. Wherever Mr. Chuckles goes, the dental team follows and leaves behind dental goodies for children to use at home.

“Mr. Chuckles shows the kids that going to the dentist doesn’t have to be scary or intimidating,” Dr. Feucht said. “The children get to interact with Mr. Chuckles and even get to practice brushing the giant tooth to get better at brushing their own teeth.”

Next month, Plymouth Dentistry staff members will attend the Comerica Health Fair.

Plymouth Dentistry offers comprehensive services in general dentistry, restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, endodontics and TMJ treatment. Dr. Feucht also works closely with a surgeon to provide durable and long-lasting dental implants for patients with missing teeth. His Plymouth dental practice uses the latest technology, including digital X-rays; soft-tissue lasers; digital panorex; DIAGNOdent to detect tiny cavities; intraoral cameras; and computer monitors in every operatory for patient education. The staff offers comfortable patient amenities and routinely takes patients’ blood pressure during visits.

Plymouth Dentistry uses in-office whitening treatments to brighten teeth in as little as 30 minutes. Dr. Feucht also offers a Whitening for Life program. When patients receive Dr. Feucht’s whitening treatment, they can have free touch-ups for life as long as they keep their regular dental cleanings and have been a patient of Plymouth Dentistry for 18 months or longer.

Dr. Feucht, who has been in practice for more than 35 years, graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1978 and started his own practice in 1983. Dr. Feucht is a member of the local Chamber of Commerce and regularly participates in health fairs, community events and kids’ programs at local schools. Some of Dr. Feucht’s dental hygienists and staff members have been with his practice for more than two decades.
