Questions For Our Porcelain Veneers Dentist
Are veneers worth it?
Your smile says a lot about your personality, which is why our cosmetic dentist may recommend porcelain veneers if you wish to improve teeth in the “smile zone.”
Dental veneers can help improve the appearance of front teeth so you can talk and smile with confidence. Having a beautiful white smile can also help you make a good first impression on those around you.
How long do veneers last?
How long your porcelain dental veneers last will depend on your oral hygiene habits. To protect your porcelain veneers and oral health, you’ll need to brush your teeth twice a day and floss once daily. We also recommend not chewing ice, using your teeth as tools, or continuing other bad habits that could damage your dental veneers.
What happens during the veneers procedure?
The veneers procedure takes two trips to our office. During your first appointment, our dentist will remove a thin layer of enamel from the fronts of your teeth to make room for the veneers. Next, he’ll take dental impressions to send to the lab where your porcelain veneers will be made.
While you wait for your permanent veneers, we’ll place temporary covers over your teeth. When you return for your second appointment, we’ll replace the temporary veneers with the permanent ones.
